Gen Ex Construction has handled roofing, siding, and gutter work across McHenry County for over 15 years. We are a GAF Certified Plus residential contractor and a GAF Certified Commercial Contractor, Google Guaranteed, and A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau. Every job we do carries a 10-year workmanship warranty.

Exterior damage rarely stays in one category. The hailstorm that beats up your roof also dents the gutters and cracks the siding on the same elevation. Because we handle all of it in house, the whole exterior goes on one schedule and, when insurance is involved, one claim. You are not chasing three contractors across three separate trips.

What to Expect From Us

Free Inspections, No Contract Up Front

We will never ask you to sign a contract before an inspection that obligates you to work with us. Get the inspection, see what we actually find, and decide from there. If there is no damage, we will tell you that.

We Handle the Insurance Side

Our team is experienced with carriers and adjusters. We photograph every slope, mark test squares, meet your adjuster on the roof, and supplement the scope when the first one comes back short. Claims get denied on weak documentation more often than on weak damage.

Cleanup You Actually Notice

We use the Catch-All landscape protection system on every tear-off, which keeps debris off your lawn and plantings instead of smothering them under tarps, and we run magnets across the lawn and driveway before we leave. It is the thing our customers mention most often in reviews.

Warranty and Financing

GAF Certified Plus status lets us offer manufacturer warranty coverage most contractors cannot, and we back our own labor with a 10-year workmanship warranty on top of it. Financing is available if you would rather spread the cost, and we offer a discount for active military and veterans.
